Member News: Hydraulic Supply Company Expands; Gates Acquires Atlas Hydraulics

Hydraulic Supply Co. logo NFPA member newsHydraulic Supply Company recently announced its plans to open a location in Greenville, South Carolina. The new store is expected to open in November 2017. The company already has operations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Mexico. Greenville was chosen as a new location due to its fast growth rate, and the company expansion is part of an overall strategy to reach more of the U.S. and Latin America.

Gates Corporation logoEarlier this month, Denver, Colorado-based Gates Corporation announced its acquisition of Brantford, Ontario-based Atlas Hydraulics. Atlas Hydraulics was founded in 1979 and has locations throughout Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. It specializes in the design, manufacture, and supply of hydraulic tube and hose assemblies and works with a number of agricultural, turf, construction, forestry, and industrial equipment manufacturers. Its portfolio of fluid power products is set to strengthen Gates Corporation’s existing power transmission and fluid power solutions offering. Atlas Hydraulics will become part of Gates Corporation’s newly established Hose and Tube Assemblies business unit.
