Published On April 19, 2017 | By Katrina Schwarz | Education, NFPA Foundation, Workforce Development

The May 1st NFPA Robotics Challenge Scholarship application deadline is looming, but there is still time to volunteer to help review applications and make the final award decision. Here is what’s needed:

Who: Fluid power professionals who want to help the next generation of engineers

What: Review scholarship applications, screen applicants, and help decide on a winner

When: May and June 2017 (about 10 hours total over this period)

Where: Remote – the entire process will be online

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Lynn Beyer at lbeyer@nfpa.com or (414) 778-3364 to get started.

Can’t be a reviewer but still want to get involved?

The Middle and High School Education Committee helps provide direction and support to NFPA middle and high school programs that increase awareness of fluid power as a technology and potential career path. Committee members ensure the programs continue to provide value to member companies and the industry as a whole. The committee meets via conference call as needed a few times a year. To take your seat at the table, contact Lynn Beyer at lbeyer@nfpa.com or (414) 778-3364.
